The Centro de Astrobiología is hosting a 2-day workshop on JWST proposal planning to get ready for Cycle 4, one month ahead of the official deadline (due 16 October 2024).

The Spanish astrophysical community is invited, at no cost, to take part in tailored talks and hands-on sessions on Astronomer’s Proposal Tool (APT) and exposure time calculator (ETC). Examples of proposal planning for different modes of observations with MIRI, NIRCam, and NIRSpec will be  presented.

In person attendance to the meeting is mandatory. Lunch and coffee breaks are included for both days. Early career researchers, especially Ph.D.  students, are strongly encouraged to apply.

The total capacity of the workshop is 40 participants. The registration deadline is 01 September 2024 or as early as we reach this capacity.
