Artificial Intelligence for the Operation of Scientific Facilities
JURES 2026
The 20th User Conference of the Spanish Supercomputing Network (JURES) will be held on October 21 and 22 at CIEMAT (Madrid).
At RIA, we would like to particularly highlight the thematic panel “Application of AI to the Operation of Scientific Facilities”, which will take place on October 22 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and will feature representatives from GRANTECAN, CEFCA, and RES-CESGA.
The panel will address the possibilities and experiences of applying Artificial Intelligence to the operation of scientific facilities, with particular emphasis on observatories and telescopes.
In addition, a discussion session among Astronomy ICTS institutions on the same topics is planned from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The panel and discussion session will provide an excellent opportunity to share experiences, learn about ongoing initiatives, and explore potential synergies between RIA institutions and the supercomputing community.
We encourage all RIA staff, as well as anyone interested in the application of AI to the operation of scientific facilities, to participate in the conference.
