  • Description: Second semester of 2012

Call for proposals for the Spanish guarantee time at the 2.2m and 3.5m telescopes of the German-Spanish Astronomical Center (CAHA) at Calar Alto, 26 nights during the second semester of 2012 (July-December). The application deadline is March, 8th at 23:59 (one week before the deadline for the open time).

The proposals have to be presented through the official CAHA website.

The Principal Investigator and at least half of the team should belong to a Spanish Institution.

This call for proposals is meant to help projects that require a moderate or large number of observing nights. Proposals will be evaluated by a committee designed by the director of the IAA. This committee will take into account the scientific quatility of the project and its
feasibility at CAHA. The decision will be sent to the principal investigator on April, 10th.

The proposals of on-going projects have to be sent by the mentioned procedure, including the results obtained so far in the “Long Term Project” section and an estimation of nights that will be required in the next semesters. Any other information that might help the evaluation can be attached to the proposal.
