Calar Alto Observatory is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for the Autumn Semester 2011 (1 July – 31December 2011). Applicants from astronomical institutes across the world are invited to apply.

Please note that if you want to apply for OPTICON funding (for details see http://www.ing.iac.es/opticon/ ) you have to submit your proposal via the NorthStar tool. All non-German or non-Spanish proposers from European countries are kindly requested to do so: http://proposal.astro-opticon.org

After the technical problems with the 3.5m telescope during the second semester 2010, and the improvements we have implemented, we do not expect any additional loss of time.
