Public gallery<\/h4><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div>Presentation<\/h4><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n Presentation<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\nThe Astronomy Infrastructure Network<\/a> (RIA) and the Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructures<\/a> (ICTS) for Astronomy under its coordination are organizing the second meeting “Fostering Synergies Among Major Spanish Observatories. II”, to be held in Granada.<\/p>\nFollowing the first edition held in La Palma in 2023 (link to previous edition<\/a>), which facilitated an initial exchange of experiences, this new edition aims to consolidate the synergies initiated and to further strengthen collaboration among the technical teams of Spain\u2019s astronomical ICTS. The meeting seeks to reinforce shared solutions in key areas such as operations, technological development, and sky protection, while promoting the generation of new ideas and joint strategies to address current and future challenges.<\/p>\nThe meeting is funded through the 2022 Research Networks call (project RED2022-134688-I), under the ICTS Networks modality of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, with the support of the Instituto de Astrof\u00edsica de Andaluc\u00eda. The ICTS integrated into the Astronomy Infrastructure Network include: the Centro Astron\u00f3mico Hispano en Andaluc\u00eda (CAHA), the Gran Telescopio de Canarias (GRANTECAN), the Institut de Radioastronomie Millim\u00e9trique (IRAM), the Observatorio Astrof\u00edsico de Javalambre (OAJ), the Observatorio de Yebes (OY), and the Observatorios de Canarias (OCAN), comprising the Teide Observatory (OT) and the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory (ORM).<\/p>\n
The meeting will take place in person from June 10 to 13, 2025<\/span>, at the Instituto de Astrof\u00edsica de Andaluc\u00eda. Selected sessions of broad interest may be broadcast via streaming. Participation is open to all institutions within the RIA, as well as to staff from other professional astronomical observatories based in Spain and teams involved in astronomical instrumentation and technology development with Spanish participation.<\/p>\nIn parallel, on Wednesday, June 11<\/span>, a session dedicated to administrative matters will be held exclusively for ICTS personnel at the IRAM headquarters in Granada<\/strong>.<\/p>\nThis second edition is expected to provide a platform for technical teams to share experiences, developments, and solutions, fostering synergies that enhance coordination, operational efficiency, and joint development, with the goal of optimizing the use of these telescope facilities and leveraging the exceptional quality of Spanish skies.<\/p>\n<\/div>
